In this fly-fishing Region, the options and rivers are unlimited. Within minutes of leaving our home you can be casting your fly. Helicopter and raft can take you into remote and otherwise inaccessible waters. The true average of Rainbows and Browns weighs between 2 and 5 lbs, but trophies in excess of 10 lbs are caught each season. Although most rivers close between June 30 and October 1, the Rangitaiki River and local lakes are open all year round.

If you wish to add some variety to your fishing holiday try 1 or two days salt water fishing. Within an hour we can be on a specialized charter boat heading for White Island off the coast of Whakatane where you can fish for Albacore, Skipjack, Yellowfin Tuna, Kingfish, Kahawai, just to mention a few.

No weather available.
